Special rescue units from the Fire and Rescue Services are currently operating in Ra'anana to extract a worker from a crane following a medical emergency at high altitude. According to sources familiar with the details, the worker is believed to be unconscious, and medical teams have not yet been able to reach him to provide treatment.

Central District rescue teams are using specialized equipment and rope systems, in cooperation with medical personnel at the scene, to reach the worker and safely lower him to the ground. It appears that contact with him was lost during work, prompting coworkers to check on him and find him unresponsive.

A similar incident occurred about two weeks ago at a construction site in Kiryat Bialik, where a worker in his 40s lost consciousness in a crane cabin at a height of about 55 meters. Magen David Adom paramedics climbed to the worker using crane ladders to provide medical treatment while firefighters secured his extraction using ropes. Following complex rescue operations, the worker was lowered to the ground and evacuated to Rambam Health Care Campus in stable condition.
