Ofer Winter Files Police Complaint Over Surveillance Outside His Home
The family of Ofer Winter filed an official police complaint after three suspicious individuals monitored their home and attempted to enter the backyard. The suspects claimed to be private investigators and journalists.
The associates of Ofer Winter reported on Sunday morning that last week, a team of three individuals arrived near his home, raising suspicion and waiting at the scene for over an hour. According to the statement, the suspects initially identified themselves as private investigators but later claimed to be media personnel, without presenting any official credentials.
It was further alleged that once the suspects believed all family members had left the premises, they attempted to enter the back parking lot, where they encountered one of Winter's daughters. Following the incident, which left the family feeling threatened, an official complaint was filed with the Israel Police. Concurrently, Winter, who was nearby, located the suspects as they attempted to leave the community and documented them.
The "Amcha Yisrael" movement released a statement:
"We condemn any attempt to employ violent behavior or breach the private space of our list members and their families. We will not tolerate surveillance, threats, or harm to family members. We entered the political arena to confront this type of behavior and to promote a new discourse in the public sphere. The response to this conduct will be delivered at the ballot box on election day."
