Marimon Natural Gas North has connected the Western Galilee Hospital to the northern natural gas distribution grid. This marks the third hospital in the north and the sixth government hospital in Israel to transition to natural gas.

The state supported the construction of the 7.6-kilometer distribution pipeline from Regba with approximately 3.7 million shekels. Initially, the hospital will replace polluting mazut with natural gas, followed by combined heat and power production to maximize economic and energy efficiency.

According to data from the Natural Gas Authority at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, transitioning government hospitals to natural gas will save around 50 million shekels annually, reducing polluting fuels and operational costs.
