Actress from 'Euphoria' claims: Iran national team footballer demanded sexual videos from me
During the World Cup, Iranian-American actress Jewel Farsad received an approach from player Ramin Rezaeian, which she says turned into a stream of harassing messages in which he asked for videos of her touching herself and asked about her sexual experiences. "It went from zero to a hundred," she described in an interview with the Daily Mail. When she posted about it, she was accused of being a "Mossad agent."
Iranian-American actress Jewel Farsad, who recently appeared in the third season of "Euphoria" and lives in the USA, claims in an interview with the British Daily Mail that Iranian national team footballer Ramin Rezaeian approached her during the World Cup held this summer and asked her to send him sexual videos of herself. According to her, he also pressured her to meet with him and bring other women to the meeting.
Farsad said that Rezaeian approached her via a direct message on Instagram. At first, she said, she did not think the approach itself was unusual, as she is used to other celebrities reaching out. However, the messages that started as friendly became flirtatious and quickly turned into sexual and harassing ones, as the footballer began demanding sexual content and pressuring her to join him on a trip to which he asked her to "bring other women."
The actress, a former Miss California, detailed the correspondence in the interview and described that Rezaeian invited her to a party in what she said felt like an "Epstein-style" situation, when she realized he was with other people, including the son of a senior official in the Revolutionary Guards. According to her, the first message arrived at the end of June.
"Instead of cute and flirtatious messages it became 'Do you like having sex with girls? Have you been with girls? Can you send me a video of you touching yourself?'" she describes. — "It just went from zero to a hundred."
Farsad said she stopped responding, hoping he would understand that she felt uncomfortable. However, he continued to send messages deep into the night. She says she felt so pressured that she almost agreed to meet, until she checked his name and found information that she said was disturbing, linking him to inappropriate behavior towards women in the past.
She wanted to emphasize Rezaeian's support for the regime in Iran, a regime she herself was harmed by: "I was born in Iran and lived there until age 18, so I personally was traumatized by the regime. I was taken for interrogation for showing hair or photographing a mosque." When she posted about the interaction on Instagram, she started receiving slurs and threats. "A Telegram channel was set up where people said there was a fatwa against me and that I am a secret Mossad agent," she shared. According to her, other women also contacted her to say they had received similar messages from Rezaeian.
