Israeli killed in road accident in Thailand

A young Israeli riding a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a pickup truck last Wednesday in the Kanchanaburi region of western Thailand. Local police have launched an investigation into the incident.
According to local reports, officers arriving at the scene discovered a pickup truck with severe front-end damage and a heavily damaged motorcycle. The body of the Israeli was found nearby. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
In March of last year, 56-year-old Ofer Dahan, a Jerusalem resident and employee of the Jerusalem Municipality, was killed in a road accident in Thailand. Dahan had rented a motorcycle during his trip and, according to reports, skidded while riding, sustaining fatal injuries. Emergency medical teams attempted resuscitation for approximately an hour before pronouncing him dead.
