US President Donald Trump addressed the American interceptor crisis last night (Friday):
"We need more time, and we need more interceptors. But we gave huge amounts to Ukraine, Biden's people did it, and they were given for free. Without payment. Billions, hundreds of billions of dollars, and fortunately, I built a very large stockpile during my term."
The President also stated:
"We have certain types of ammunition that are very powerful, and of which we have an unlimited supply. In other types, the inventory is a bit more limited, and we receive supplies of them daily. Defense companies are now building more factories than at any point in history. They are building factories for Patriot, for Tomahawk, for everything."
Yesterday, it was reported in Arab media that Iran plans to officially announce control over the Strait of Hormuz soon. A source in the negotiations told News 13 that "the next 24 hours will be critical. Either there will be a temporary agreement on Hormuz, or war and escalation — more than anything that has been so far."
A senior American official told CBS yesterday that "any temporary agreement in the Strait of Hormuz will not include fees or transit charges." A source familiar with the details told the Al-Arabiya network that the agreement will be extended for 60 days:
"The ships that will enter the strait will use the sea passage closest to Iran, and it does not include the imposition of transit fees or services on the ships. Regional parties may participate in mine clearance and the necessary technical measures."
