US President Donald Trump lashed out at a Reuters reporter on Thursday after being questioned about his decision to cancel campaign rallies in Iowa and Kansas ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. Speaking to reporters outside Air Force One following a rally in South Carolina, Trump defended his health and schedule, but reacted angrily when asked if the cancellations were due to travel fatigue.

"You're sick in the head for asking a question like that. You're sick. What news organization are you from?" Trump asked reporter Jacob Bugage. After Bugage identified himself as working for Reuters, the president criticized the news agency and launched into a personal attack on the journalist's physical fitness.

The White House official X account later shared a video of the exchange alongside captions mocking the reporter. Trump has increasingly turned to telephone rallies to reach voters in key states, citing a busy schedule and vocal strain as he campaigns to help Republicans defend their majorities in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
