US President Donald Trump reported 1,156 securities transactions conducted on his behalf during July, totaling between approximately $79 million and $270 million. According to a CNBC analysis of Trump's latest financial disclosure, it marks another month of significant trading activity within his investment portfolio.

Trading Volume and Major Transactions

The reported purchases totaled at least $43.6 million, while sales reached at least $35.6 million. The broad reporting ranges prevent determining the exact transaction amounts or Trump's current holdings in individual companies.

"The largest transactions reported in July took place on the 20th of the month, when Microsoft and Amazon shares were sold in the range of $5 million to $25 million for each company."

Three days later, new purchases of both companies were reported: Microsoft shares ranging from $100,001 to $250,000, and Amazon shares ranging from $1,000 to $15,000. Significant sales of Oracle shares and other companies, alongside new purchases, were also recorded on the same day the major sales took place.

Broader Financial Picture

The trading activity occurred against the backdrop of an exceptionally strong day for tech stocks, which added $291 billion to their market value on July 20. The volume of activity is not unusual compared to recent months. In June, Trump reported 1,051 transactions totaling between $78.1 million and $263.1 million, encompassing stocks, bonds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Trump's 2025 annual report also illustrated the massive scale of activity across his portfolios, showing more than 21,000 securities transactions across eight accounts holding assets valued at least $858 million. By comparison, during his first year in office in 2017, only 86 stock transactions were reported. The White House and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The White House has previously stated that the accounts are managed by independent advisers without Trump's involvement.
