US President Donald Trump announced that he is banning several media outlets, including CNN, from entering the White House, effective immediately, labeling them as "fake news channels."
In a post on his social media network TRUTH, Trump wrote: "I am proud to announce that I am banning fake news outlets like CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House, as a result of their constant reporting of fake news."
"Media outlets should not be allowed to continuously write or report fabrications and stories while covering the President, the Trump Administration, or the United States," Trump added, warning that additional outlets would be next.
