Toto Cup Final Interrupted by Pyrotechnics and Ultra Banner War
The Toto Cup final at Bloomfield Stadium was marred by pyrotechnics, a fire in the stands, and a banner war between rival ultra fans, forcing a nine-minute match stoppage.

The Toto Cup final at Bloomfield Stadium delivered intense drama even before kickoff, as ultra fan groups stole the spotlight with an elaborate banner war and pyrotechnic displays.
The psychological warfare began minutes before the referee's whistle. Hapoel Tel Aviv fans raised a banner featuring a line from a well-known Gidi Gov song: "Clouds of war are approaching with a sound of terror and thunder."
In the yellow section, Maccabi fans responded immediately with a coordinated counter-banner reading "Clouds of leaks," followed by "Maccabi is approaching with a sound of terror and thunder," and capped off with the punchline: "There is no more day. There is another counter-attack."
Just 50 seconds into the match, referee Snir Levi was forced to halt proceedings when dozens of flares were ignited in both stands, creating a thick smoke screen over the pitch. A serious fire broke out in Gate 5, the Hapoel Tel Aviv stand, prompting firefighters to intervene. The match resumed after a nine-minute delay as the smoke cleared.
These incidents come amid severe disciplinary pressure on both clubs. Maccabi Tel Aviv faces a suspended sentence banning away ticket sales following the previous derby, while Hapoel Tel Aviv was fined 20,000 shekels earlier in the day for offensive chants during their match against Hapoel Jerusalem. Both clubs now face further disciplinary hearings over the pyrotechnics and match stoppage.
