"Shooting! Shooting!": Fire opened at police officers during an operation against illegal weapons
Police officers who arrived to search for illegal weapons encountered fire in an open area. In the footage from body cameras, the calls can be heard: "Shooting! Shooting!", "Take cover" and "We are engaged in an exchange of fire". A suspect was arrested and a weapon was seized.

Operational activity to locate weapons in Ein Sahla turned into a shooting scene in a short time. Police officers who arrived at an open area to conduct a search encountered fire opened at them, and calls were heard on the radio: "Shooting! Shooting!", "Take cover" and "There is still shooting and armed men here". According to the police, officers from the Iron station and fighters of the tactical brigade were operating at the scene to locate illegal weapons. When the forces arrived at the point where the search was planned, fire was opened at them. In the footage from the body cameras, one of the officers is heard directing his colleagues: "The shooting is from the left, close in on me", and later the instruction is heard for every force arriving at the scene: "Use full protection". As the incident continued, the reports on the radio intensified. "We are engaged in an exchange of fire", one of the officers is heard saying, and in the background, a call to bring intensive care was also heard. The police statement did not report any casualties. At the end of the incident, a suspect was arrested and transferred for interrogation to the central unit of the Menashe district. During a search of the area, a weapon was located, which was transferred for examination as part of the investigation. The court extended the suspect's detention.
