Wildfire Erupts at Tel Dan Nature Reserve, Prompting Immediate Evacuation

A wildfire broke out today, Sunday, at the Tel Dan Nature Reserve. Following the outbreak, all visitors and hikers were evacuated from the various trails, and the site was closed to the public. Nature and Parks Authority inspectors initiated preliminary efforts to contain the flames and called firefighting forces to the scene.
The fire was discovered in the afternoon within the reserve's grounds, leading to an immediate decision to close the site. Inspectors stationed at the location began firefighting operations simultaneously with the dispatch of firefighters to assist in preventing the flames from spreading.
The Nature and Parks Authority stated that all hikers were evacuated from the trails, inspectors are working to extinguish the fire, and a request was made for firefighting reinforcements. At this stage, no casualties have been reported, and forces are concentrating efforts to keep the fire away from central vegetation and public areas.
The blaze at Tel Dan erupts just a day after another major fire in the north. Last night, a tire fire broke out in an open area in Yarka, near the Big Fashion shopping center, spreading towards residential homes under the influence of the wind. Due to heavy smoke and the resulting risk, police forces evacuated the shopping complex.
Firefighters operated on two fronts, using firefighting foam to contain the blaze and protect nearby buildings, while also utilizing engineering equipment to dismantle the tire piles. The incident in Yarka ended without casualties, and regional roads were reopened to traffic after firefighters gained control of the flames.
