Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Closes Lower as Major Indices Slide

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed lower today (Wednesday) across both major indices. The Tel Aviv 35 index dropped by 0.26% to 4,296.38 points, while the Tel Aviv 125 index fell by 0.36% to 4,158.23 points.

Among the top five gaining stocks, Mivtach Shamir led the market with a 4.39% surge to 40,390 agorot. Weshare Globaltech rose 4.06% to 1,716 agorot, Gilat gained 3.81% to 3,082 agorot, Palo Alto increased by 3.60% to 115,000 agorot, and Ayalon advanced 3.34% to 19,780 agorot.

On the losing side, Electra Real Estate plummeted 7.05% to 2,070 agorot. Qualitao dropped 6.96% to 33,950 agorot, Ackerstein Group weakened by 5.44% to 657.4 agorot, Max Stock lost 4.48% to 3,436 agorot, and Prishkovsky fell 3.74% to 12,350 agorot.

Simultaneously, a negative trend was recorded on Wall Street amid a surge in US 10-year Treasury yields to around 5.05%, alongside market jitters over reports concerning US-Iran talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. In the local foreign exchange market, the dollar traded around 3.017 shekels, the euro stood at 3.442 shekels, and the British pound traded at 4.007 shekels.
