Against the backdrop of the crisis in the right-wing bloc: Prime Minister Netanyahu arrives at the "Patriots" studio

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to be a guest today (Sunday) on the TV show "The Patriots" hosted by Yinon Magal, as announced by Channel 14. The program will be broadcast as usual at 9:00 PM. Netanyahu will arrive at the "Patriots" studio while in recent days he has been dealing with significant threats to the ruling party under his leadership, which is failing to rise in the polls.

The "Am Yisrael" party, founded by Ofer Winter and achieving 5 mandates in the polls, is not Netanyahu's only problem. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich does not enjoy broad public support, and the "Religious Zionism" party is showing negative figures in the polls. In the last mandate poll, the "Religious Zionism" party did not pass the electoral threshold. Consequently, Netanyahu turned to National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and asked him to unite with Smotrich, due to fears of losing right-wing votes and harming the right-wing bloc.

Despite repeated requests, Ben Gvir refuses to unite with Smotrich. Apparently, upon arriving at the "Patriots" studio, Netanyahu will convey a sharp and clear message to the National Security Minister and will try to exert pressure on him to unite with Minister Smotrich.

Last night (Saturday night), Minister Itamar Ben Gvir published his response on the matter:

"Good week, Mr. Prime Minister, I was stunned by the reports that Smotrich and Feiglin were conducting advanced negotiations for a merger under your mediation, and only to 'pressure Feiglin', you and Smotrich came out with a staged call for unity with me, the whole purpose of which is to lower Feiglin's demands. It is one thing to boycott events with my participation and be ashamed to be photographed with me, but is even the emotional call for unity just a cynical game?! Mr. Prime Minister, it is worth reminding you: my name is Itamar Ben Gvir, not Benny Gantz."

Yair Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's son, responded to the post published by Minister Itamar Ben Gvir:

"Lies and falsehoods! The only reason for the desire for a technical bloc merger between you and Smotrich is the desire not to waste right-wing votes on parties that will not pass the electoral threshold. The danger that the right-wing bloc will not achieve 61 because of your refusal simply does not interest you! You don't care if a Yair Golan-Eisenkot-Muslim Brotherhood government is established. As far as you are concerned, there is no problem with sitting in the opposition; you only know how to make TikTok videos anyway."
