Supergas Acquires Controlling Stake in Nine Consumer Products for NIS 30M
Supergas Energy has completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in Nine Consumer Products for NIS 30 million, entering the outdoor grill and camping gear market with global brands like Weber and Ooni.

Supergas Energy, a subsidiary of Elco, is expanding into the international consumer goods retail market after completing the acquisition of a controlling stake in Nine Consumer Products for approximately NIS 30 million. The deal, which awaited antitrust approval for over seven months, gives Supergas a foothold in the outdoor kitchen, grill, pizza oven, and camping gear sectors.
Under the agreement, Supergas acquired a 50% stake in Nine, with options to achieve full ownership in the future. The transaction structure includes a base payment of NIS 17.5 million, a conditional payment of up to NIS 10 million tied to performance targets, and an additional sum derived from EBITDA growth over four years. Nine, founded by Shay Habib, holds exclusive import rights for major global brands such as Weber, Coleman, and Ooni, distributing them through hundreds of retail outlets including Home Center, Ace, KSP, and Rikoshet.
Expanding the Value Chain
For Supergas, a company traditionally focused on supplying gas to households and businesses, the acquisition represents a strategic shift toward retail. Supergas currently serves approximately 400,000 private clients and 5,000 commercial and institutional customers. The synergy with Nine will enable the energy provider to offer integrated packages combining gas appliances and regular gas supply, creating a seamless customer experience.
The outdoor kitchen and grill market in Israel is valued at approximately NIS 530 million annually, with an estimated 100,000 grills sold each year. The home pizza oven sector is also experiencing rapid growth, with around 15,000 units sold in 2025. Following the acquisition, Nine plans to expand its product range into gas water heaters, synergizing with Supergas's existing operations.
Strategic Focus on Core Sectors
Daniel Sapir, CEO of Supergas Power, noted that the acquisition aligns with the company's broader strategy to focus on its core operations: liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and electricity supply. Recently, Supergas sold its natural gas and cogeneration business to the Aluma Fund for roughly NIS 406 million while expanding its distribution footprint. Additionally, Supergas Power recently announced the acquisition of Pazgas's electricity supply activity for up to NIS 25 million, further scaling its market presence.
