The political chessboard will align according to what happens on Monday — the Likud primaries. This is a democratic party, let us just remind all those who screamed here about a dictatorship for two years — which is already starting to fade in time — and who themselves forced refusal to serve and harmed the country's security. But even this system has a problem, and it cannot afford to stagnate. Next week will bring the peak of the controversy between the old system and progress, and a great deal of what is called in the political world is expected — shooting inside the armored personnel carrier.

This week, on the Likud podcast platform, which is, as written here in previous columns, one of Benjamin Netanyahu's new methods for the current campaign, Netanyahu presented his number one armored candidate, businessman Oren Dubronsky, the "shark" from Channel 12. A man who conveys a message of success in his life, stands up to the standard of freshness and professionalism as Netanyahu wanted, and also sends a message to another "shark" — Dobi Frances — whose name recently made headlines, among other things when he claimed he was aiming for the premiership in the future, got scared of himself, and went underground. Netanyahu is also sending him a message through Dubronsky: "Hello, everything still goes through me."

Moving on, ministers Israel Katz, Gideon Sa'ar, and Avi Dichter can sleep at night with the armor. Netanyahu this week gave them armor that they will still have to return to him in moves that will come later. The fifth for the armor — Minister Haim Katz, a man who himself was involved in the armor mechanism and is considered a man whose name is synonymous with power and deals in the primaries. But here, after he passed the Likud court and there was quite a bit of shouting inside the armored personnel carrier, his armor was approved.

So Netanyahu has three more armors left, and they will have to come from the outside. An event he is having quite a hard time with overall, after Ron Dermer, Talik Guili, and others, who could really have refreshed the list as Netanyahu wanted, refused. The entire right-wing bloc, with an emphasis on the new parties — the unity party of Gilad Erdan and Yuli Edelstein and another new right-wing party that will soon be announced here (spoiler!), unless Netanyahu dismantles it and grants its planned members the aforementioned armors — depends on the coming week.

The results of the primaries combined with the final choice of armors will set the Likud list. Unlike always, when people choose mostly according to the chairman, in these elections there will also be power for the list itself. Whoever brings the strongest, most professional, and "cleaner" list, so to speak, within the right-wing bloc, will win an advantage from the voting public. Our country has gone through so much in recent years and Likud also needs to undergo adaptation accordingly. As Netanyahu said to his faction in the closed meeting in his own words — it is impossible to continue holding power in the current casting format.

We love you, Caroline

Two days ago in the evening, the headlines echoed: "Caroline Leavitt will end her role at the end of the month," broadcasting to the audience that there was an explosion between her and Donald Trump, to get you to enter the news and make money off you by clicking. However, from reading the news, you will understand that she is the one who chose to leave the position, and she will remain a senior advisor to the most powerful president in the world.

In a tweet he published on the TRUTH network, Trump wrote: "Our wonderful White House press secretary, and one of the aides I trust most of all, Caroline Leavitt, will leave her position at the end of the month so that she can spend more time with her young and wonderful children and her family — a decision I fully understand and respect."

Trump continued: "Caroline will from now on be one of my senior external advisors and an influential voice within the Republican Party, while we work to break historical precedents and win unequivocally in the midterm elections. Caroline was a true leader in the White House and did an outstanding job in the fight for justice, liberty, and freedom since 2018, including our historic campaign for re-election in 2024. Caroline was one of the best White House press secretaries in the history of the role. Thank you, Caroline, for an excellent job!".

It is impossible not to stop at Trump's words, the praise of a boss to his employee in front of everyone, alongside the over-publication of the reason she chose to leave the exhausting job that requires working around the clock. But this is Trump, everything is out in the open. On the other hand, she is a spokesperson herself and it is likely she approved the publication of the things as they are. Or not? With Trump, you can never know.

The role of White House press secretary is one of the most spectacular and intriguing roles in the media. A representative of the president stands there, a sparkling representative, and deals with journalists' questions that have become simply accusations in recent years (yes, also in our Israel). Caroline Leavitt dealt with it in a spectacular way, also in defending the State of Israel. She is young, talented, and brilliant. In the current worlds of TikTok and messaging, she set a different standard for the role, and now Trump has another matter on his head — to look for a worthy replacement for her.

By the way, also in our Israel, in Netanyahu's circle, his advisors tried more than once to formulate such a role. It didn't work, Netanyahu refused. The world is moving in this direction, the USA was the first to identify it. Who knows, maybe a day will come when Israel will be able to present its Caroline to the world, and she will be able to influence the world more than all sorts of drugged-up wrecks.

I will share with you the longest connection in my life, I meet her regularly once every two weeks for 20 years. Women will understand me.
