Mandate poll: Eisenkot gains momentum, Netanyahu's bloc loses ground
A Channel 13 poll shows Gadi Eisenkot's 'Yashar!' party leading with 23 mandates against 21 for Likud. Eisenkot also leads Netanyahu in suitability for Prime Minister (47% to 34%), and the opposition bloc reaches 60 mandates when joined by Tropper and Hendel.
According to a Channel 13 poll published on Wednesday, if Knesset elections were held today, the 'Yashar!' party led by Gadi Eisenkot would remain the largest party with 23 mandates. Likud, amid controversy over reserved seats, weakens to 21 mandates.
The 'Beihad' party led by Naftali Bennett receives 12 mandates, while 'The Democrats' maintain 11. Yisrael Beiteinu receives 10, United Torah Judaism 8, Otzma Yehudit 8, and Shas 7 mandates.
'Beit Tzioni,' led by Chili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel, crosses the electoral threshold with 4 mandates. Below the threshold are the parties of Gilad Erdan and Yuli Edelstein, Balad, and Blue and White led by Benny Gantz.
In terms of bloc distribution, the opposition bloc led by Eisenkot stands at 56 mandates. With the addition of the 4 mandates from 'Beit Tzioni,' the bloc reaches 60. The coalition bloc led by Benjamin Netanyahu receives 49 mandates, while Arab parties hold 11.
Regarding suitability for Prime Minister, Eisenkot continues to lead Netanyahu, with 47% of respondents favoring Eisenkot compared to 34% for Netanyahu.
Data analysis shows that among coalition supporters, Netanyahu receives 90% support, whereas among the rest of the public, Eisenkot leads with 71%.
Merger scenarios
If Chili Tropper joins Gadi Eisenkot, the joint list receives 22 mandates—one fewer than if Eisenkot's party runs alone. In this scenario, Likud drops to 20 mandates. The opposition bloc stands at 57 mandates, the coalition at 49, and Arab parties strengthen to 14.
The poll was conducted by Channel 13 in cooperation with 'HaMidad' (Shmuel Rosner and Noach Slepkov), Stat-Net (Yousef Makladeh), the sampling project of Dr. Ariel Ayalon, and Askaria (Dudi Dror). Statistical consulting was provided by Prof. David Steinberg. The poll included 1,240 respondents with a margin of error of 3.9%.
