Dramatic mandate poll: Netanyahu strengthens, who is crashing below the electoral threshold?
Just one week before the closing of the lists, a new Channel 12 News poll reveals a turnaround at the top, strengthening for Netanyahu, and a total collapse of some of the most familiar names in Israeli politics below the electoral threshold.
Just one week and one day before the closing of the lists for the Knesset, the political map presents tense power dynamics. According to a Channel 12 News poll published yesterday (Monday), the first conducted since the establishment of the "Amcha Yisrael" party led by Ofer Winter, the "Yashar" party led by Gadi Eisenkot stands at the top as the largest party, garnering 24 mandates. Immediately behind it is the Likud party led by Benjamin Netanyahu, which records a slight strengthening compared to the previous poll and stabilizes as the second-largest party with 23 seats.
Far behind the two big parties, the "Beyachad" party led by Naftali Bennett maintains its strength and establishes itself with 15 mandates. "The Democrats" led by Yair Golan obtain 11 seats, while "Yisrael Beiteinu" led by Avigdor Lieberman wins 9 mandates.
Among the ultra-Orthodox parties and the deep right, the picture is mixed: while United Torah Judaism led by Moshe Gafni maintains stability with 8 mandates, "Otzma Yehudit" led by Itamar Ben Gvir records a weakening and also settles for 8 mandates.
Further down the list, the Joint List (Hadash, Ta'al, and Balad) led by Yousef Jabareen obtains 7 mandates, a figure identical to that of Shas, which remains at a low point. Closing the list of parties that pass the electoral threshold are two parties with 4 mandates each: the new "Amcha Yisrael" of Ofer Winter and Ra'am led by Mansour Abbas.
The real drama of the poll takes place below the electoral threshold, where a collapse of key figures is recorded. The Religious Zionism party led by Bezalel Smotrich receives only 2.6%, similar to the "Reserve Zionists' Home" party of Chili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel, which also receives 2.6%.
Moshe Feiglin's "Zehut" party stands at 2.1%, the "Ultra-Orthodox Public" led by Motti Leitner obtains 1.2%, and Yaron Zelekha's "New Economic Party" scrapes 1%. At the bottom of the list are Benny Gantz's Blue and White with only 0.9%, and Gilad Erdan's "Ha-Achdut" which wins 0.5%.
The distribution of the blocs, similar to the previous poll, continues to favor the opposition. The anti-Netanyahu bloc stands firm at 70 mandates, composed of 59 seats for the opposition parties and 11 mandates for the Arab parties. On the other hand, the current coalition parties reach only 50 mandates together.
