Turkish Drone Firm Publishes Promotional Video Targeting Merkava Tank
Turkish drone firm Skydagger released a video showing an FPV drone destroying a tank resembling the Israeli Merkava, marking a first for a Turkish defense contractor.

A Turkish drone technology company, Skydagger, has published a promotional video depicting an attack on a tank bearing a striking resemblance to the Israeli Merkava. The 27-second video shows a drone destroying the armored vehicle, accompanied by captions shifting from "problem" to "solution".
Turkish Media Highlights the Merkava Connection
According to the Turkish news outlet Istanbul Post, the video clearly targets the Israeli main battle tank. The publication noted that although the company did not explicitly name the vehicle, the flag on the turret and the tank's distinct silhouette leave no room for doubt.

Defense analysts point out that while the Merkava is equipped with the Trophy active protection system, recent conflicts such as the war in Ukraine have demonstrated that inexpensive FPV drones can threaten heavily armored vehicles from above.
Corporate Profile and US Partnerships
Founded in 2024, Skydagger specializes in autonomous drone technologies. In June, reports emerged regarding a partnership between the Turkish firm and American defense giant L3Harris.
The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly manufacture Skydagger FPV interceptor drones in the United States, integrating them into the L3Harris VAMPIRE counter-drone system.
