Shelly Sarbrianikov breaks down in tears: "I can't just walk around the street"
The "Big Brother" alumna, who recently moved in with her partner in Ra'anana, shared the difficulties of adjusting to her new public status and life in a new city.
A little over a month has passed since the grand finale of "Big Brother" concluded the season. Omer Zipori, who reached an honorable second place, may not have taken home the million shekels, but he definitely left the house with the real prize.
The relationship that blossomed in front of the cameras with Shelly Sarbrianikov continues to prove that it is the real thing, and the two are presenting a stable and particularly photogenic relationship in real life as well, far from the "Big Brother" set. The connection between them gained momentum almost immediately upon leaving the program. To avoid wasting precious time, they combined addresses and moved in together to Omer's home in Ra'anana.
However, not everything is as rosy as it seems, and the move to living together brought with it new difficulties that Sarbrianikov has to navigate. On Monday, she uploaded a series of stories to her Instagram account and shared her fear of the unknown, bursting into tears as she admitted her anxiety about being alone and the shock that accompanies the loss of anonymity.
"I'm debating whether to open up this topic, but sometimes venting is good. Like this whole move to a new city, a city I've never been to, I don't know this city. And also every taxi now is a hit to the pocket," she continued, describing the major changes in her life.
She described the difficulty of adapting to her new status as a known figure in Israel:
"What do I do now? I'm no longer anonymous. I can't just walk around the street and go to the beach alone; in the end, it's a bit scary. And what if I don't want to be alone? I don't know anyone here," she added as tears filled her eyes.
"It's clear that I'm not alone, and I have Omer and he always cares, but I can't just lean on him," she added, noting that she does not intend to rely solely on him. "I need to be independent, and I just don't know where to start."
Sarbrianikov clarified: "I'm not playing the victim or whining, I just said maybe I'll share. You have to get used to the fact that you are simply leaving your normal life for a completely different one, and you can't just walk around the street or sit in a cafe alone—maybe for now, I don't know. For now, this is the picture," she concluded.
