"Serve in the army - and come back to me": Gadi Eisenkot's response to activist's question

During an election campaign held today, Friday, by the chairman of the Yashar party, Gadi Eisenkot, at Metzitzim Beach, he engaged in a discussion with right-wing activist Mordechai David. David approached the party chairman and asked to pose "one question about the war." When asked, "A few weeks after the massacre committed by Hamas, you wanted to surrender and called for a deal at any price?", Eisenkot replied that he is only interested in speaking with those who have performed military service.

"I only cooperate with those who served in the army — go serve and come back to me," he clarified.

Earlier this week, during a party house meeting hosted by former Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen, David waited outside the venue, intending to block Cohen upon his departure. Attendees who recognized David called the police, who arrived at the scene and removed him.

Several weeks ago, another unusual incident occurred at a house meeting held by the former Shin Bet chief. During the event, a participant repeatedly interrupted Cohen, accusing him of approving exceptional interrogation methods against Jewish detainees during his tenure as head of the Shin Bet, specifically referencing the case of Amiram Ben-Uliel, who was convicted of murdering members of the Dawabsheh family in the village of Duma. The participant claimed that Cohen had "sanctioned torture" during the investigation.

According to reports from the scene, the exchange led to a heated confrontation between the participant and other attendees, which nearly escalated into a physical altercation. Cohen himself did not intervene in the dispute and continued the meeting once order was restored.
