Mordechai David, a controversial right-wing activist, is expected to join the campaign of Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and serve in a paid position at the youth headquarters of the Otzma Yehudit party. David is known to the public for his provocative protest actions, which include blocking vehicles and harassing public figures, judges, and journalists identified with the center-left, including former Supreme Court President Aharon Barak, former Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and correspondent Guy Peleg.
The reactions were swift. PR expert Rani Rahav, who was targeted by David in the past, attacked the report:
"It is unbelievable. The Minister of Police is sitting with a criminal in the State of Israel. Where have we reached in our country! Everyone who votes for Ben Gvir should know that they are voting for a party that encourages crime in Israel. And let this be on the conscience of Netanyahu who allowed this, and the Minister of Justice, Yariv Levin, who allowed this."
In a post on the X network, Rahav added: "The people of Israel will not forget these crimes of yours under the auspices of Ben Gvir. It is unbelievable. The most terrible minister in the history of the State of Israel. Shame. Corruption. Go home."
