Rabbi Netanel Shriki Leads European Prayer Journey for Israel
Rabbi Netanel Shriki led a delegation of 50 kolel members on a spiritual prayer journey across Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic, praying for Israel and IDF soldiers.
A spiritual delegation led by Rabbi Netanel Shriki, head of the "Tehilat Shalom" institutions in Netivot, embarked on a prayer journey across Europe alongside over 50 kolel members. The itinerary spanned historical Jewish sites in Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic, focusing on prayers for the safety of Israel, IDF soldiers, and the nation's well-being.
Journey to the Tombs of Great Sages
The delegation visited the resting places of legendary Jewish leaders and scholars. Stops included the graves of the Maharal of Prague, the Vilna Gaon, the Rema in Krakow, the Seer of Lublin, and Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk, author of "Noam Elimelik." At each holy site, the participants offered heartfelt supplications for the protection of Israel, the recovery of the wounded, and divine grace for the entire nation.
Memorial at Majdanek and Krakow
A poignant moment of reflection took place at the Rema's gravesite in Krakow, where special prayers were recited for the souls of those fallen and murdered since October 7. The emotional peak of the journey occurred at the Majdanek extermination camp in Poland, where the group gathered to honor the memory of Holocaust victims, recite memorial prayers, and internalize the historical continuity of the Jewish people amid current challenges.
