Beitar Jerusalem is currently visiting Austria Vienna for the second leg of the third round of the Conference League qualifiers. Almog Cohen's team is hoping to overturn the 2:1 deficit from last week.

As recalled, the runner-up started the season with a loss in the Toto Cup quarter-finals to Hapoel Tel Aviv on penalties. In the previous round, the team from the capital eliminated Cypriot AEK Larnaca on penalties, after a 3:3 aggregate score. Almog Cohen's squad knows that only a win will suffice to advance to the playoff stage.

On the other hand, Austria Vienna arrives with negative momentum after losing their first two league matches: 3:0 to Wolfsberger and 2:0 to champion LASK Linz. The Austrian side hopes to maintain their lead on home turf.

Historically, apart from last week, the Jerusalemites had not faced Austrian teams before. However, Austria Vienna has a relatively recent encounter against an Israeli team: in the 2022/23 season, they suffered a 4:0 defeat to Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the Conference League group stage.
