Police Arrest Driver Suspected of Fleeing Fatal Hit-and-Run Near Porat
A 45-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Route 5535 near Moshav Porat. Police tracked down and arrested a female driver in her 30s who allegedly fled the scene.

A man aged approximately 45 was killed on Saturday evening after being struck by a vehicle near Moshav Porat in the Sharon region.
Police confirmed they arrested the driver of the vehicle involved, who allegedly fled the scene immediately after the collision. Following targeted search operations, officers located the suspect, a woman in her 30s, and took her in for questioning regarding her involvement in the fatal accident.
The emergency call was received at 18:56 by MADA's 101 dispatch center in the Yarkon region, reporting a pedestrian hit on Route 5535. MADA paramedics arriving at the scene reported a man with multi-system trauma showing no signs of life and were forced to pronounce him dead.
Samer Mansour, a paramedic with MADA's motorcycle unit, stated:
"The victim, who suffered severe multi-system trauma, was lying unconscious with no pulse and no breathing. We performed medical checks, but he showed no signs of life, and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead."
