Israeli police and the Jewish National Fund (JNF) are preparing to evacuate an unauthorized outpost established by activists from the Nachala movement in the Simhoni Forest, located between Kfar Aza and Nahal Oz near the Gaza border.

According to local reports, police officers and JNF representatives conducted a field tour to set a date for the evacuation, which is expected to take place next week. Authorities plan to use force if the activists refuse to leave voluntarily. The outpost was erected approximately three weeks ago when activists arrived overnight, set up caravans, and established basic infrastructure as part of their declared effort to promote Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip.

The Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council strongly condemned the illegal outpost and urged authorities to enforce the law immediately. Because the land is managed by the JNF, the agency filed a police complaint, initiating a legal procedure that mandates evacuation within 30 days of the intrusion.

Activists stated that the outpost serves as an intermediate goal toward settling inside Gaza, adding that they will not leave the surrounding border region even if evacuated. "We will simply move to another location until we reach Gaza," they said. While refusing to actively fight security forces during the removal, the families currently residing at the site—including children and teenagers—asserted they intend to persist with their campaign.
