Following an investigative report by Channel 13, Israeli Police arrested the owner of the Yahav Car used car lot in Binyamin on Tuesday. The lot was exposed in the "HaHoker" segment on the main evening edition for selling hazardous vehicles.
Upon the arrest, police confiscated the vehicles remaining on the lot. The investigation revealed a systematic scheme offering seemingly cheap and reliable used cars that turned out to be severely damaged.
Channel 13's investigation uncovered multiple issues, including manipulated mileage meters and cars that had been involved in severe accidents. Despite the initial broadcast exposing the fraudulent practices, the lot continued selling dangerous vehicles, prompting additional complaints from defrauded buyers.
