Location analytics unicorn Placer.ai has acquired the core development team and founders of Israeli startup Jigso. As part of the transaction, Jigso founders Or Shani and Tomer Naveh, alongside the company's artificial intelligence experts, will join Placer.ai to accelerate its AI capabilities.

Following the acquisition, Naveh will assume the role of Vice President of R&D for AI Actions at Placer.ai, while Shani will serve as a business development advisor and board member. Founded in December 2021 by Shani and Naveh—who previously established Albert.ai—Jigso developed a proactive AI-powered operating system designed to integrate and analyze data from enterprise platforms such as Slack, Jira, and CRM systems.

In March 2023, Jigso emerged from stealth mode with a $7.5 million seed funding round backed by General Catalyst, Entrée Capital, and Jibe Ventures. Placer.ai currently serves over 5,000 organizations and intends to integrate Jigso's automation solutions to transform raw shopper traffic data into active business insights and actionable recommendations.
