Pinhas Idan will not appeal his dismissal from Likud: "The PM decided that I am the malicious factor"

Pinhas Idan wrote a letter on Sunday to the Likud party court stating that he will not appeal his dismissal from the party. In the letter addressed to Michael Kleiner, chairman of the Likud party court, he wrote:

"Following the decision of the honorable Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to dismiss me from my membership in Likud, I hereby announce that I have no intention to appeal this decision of the Prime Minister."

"For over 50 years my family and I have been members of the Likud center, and since the Prime Minister decided that I am the malicious factor responsible for the damages occurring in the party, I am too small to appeal this determination of his," he added.

Idan also wrote:

"For the sake of removing doubt, I was not the one who gave the order to stop the activity at the airport, and furthermore, I even demanded to conduct an uncompromising investigation to find the person responsible for giving this order."

"For my part, I will continue to faithfully represent the employees of the Authority to whom, and only to whom, I am committed, and I wish my dear friends in Likud much success in the future," he concluded.

In an interview with 103FM today, Idan said: "The management is doing everything to recruit employees. To my great regret, there is no response. If they hire employees in the coming days, we can overcome this by the end of August. If not, it will happen during the holidays as well, and we will be in deep trouble."

Last Thursday, massive lines and significant congestion were recorded due to disruptions by Israel Airports Authority employees. An accusing finger was pointed at the workers' committee, alleging they started a wildcat strike. The Prime Minister addressed the event, stating:

"Ben Gurion Airport will continue to operate as usual. Whoever stands in the way will be sent home."
