Botulinum toxin, a substance once known primarily as a toxin, has become one of the central tools in the world of aesthetics. It works by temporarily relaxing a specific muscle, offering a variety of solutions for softening or improving the appearance of the face and other areas.

Key applications

  1. Softening facial expression lines: The most classic procedure. Injections into areas prone to dynamic wrinkles (the 'frown line', forehead, and corners of the eyes) provide a calm, fresh look while maintaining natural facial features.

  2. Eyebrow lift: A popular treatment for rejuvenating the eye area. By weakening the muscles that pull the eyebrow downward, the lifting muscles act more freely, resulting in a delicate lift that opens the gaze.

  3. Gummy Smile correction: For those whose smile exposes the upper gums, a precise injection above the upper lip relaxes the muscle that pulls the lip upward, creating a more balanced smile.

  4. Lip Flip: A technique for highlighting lips without fillers. Injecting a small amount of the substance into the muscle surrounding the mouth causes the upper lip to roll slightly outward, creating a fuller look.

  5. Chin smoothing and bruxism relief: Botox smooths the bumpy texture of the chin and provides significant relief from pain and tooth wear caused by jaw clenching, while also narrowing the jawline for a more refined look.

Although it is a relatively quick and safe procedure, the effect of Botox is temporary and lasts only a few months. As with any medical treatment, minor side effects such as redness or swelling may occur. The treatment is not intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women and those suffering from certain neurological diseases. To obtain a safe and natural result, it is recommended to perform the procedure only with a qualified and experienced doctor.
