Vandals broke into the Shvilim Democratic School in Pardes Hanna-Karkur over the weekend, causing extensive damage and spraying swastikas inside an art classroom. The perpetrators defaced windows, desks, the blackboard, and various school materials.
The incident was discovered on Sunday morning as staff prepared for the school day. The school administration immediately contacted law enforcement, prompting the Zichron Yaakov police to open an investigation.
The local council issued a statement condemning the attack:
"The council strongly condemns the spraying of swastikas and the acts of vandalism and destruction in the Shvilim school art classroom. We view any expression of racism, hatred, and violence, particularly the use of Nazi symbols, with the utmost severity. There is no place for such acts in our educational system or our community."
The council added that the school principal has filed a formal complaint, and local authorities are fully cooperating with the police to locate those responsible and bring them to justice.
