US, China and Israel Are the Only Relevant AI Powers, Says Palantir CEO
Palantir CEO Alex Karp stated that the US, China, and Israel are the only relevant players in the global artificial intelligence race, warning that Europe lags behind.

The global artificial intelligence race features only three relevant nations: the United States, China, and Israel, according to Palantir CEO Alex Karp. In a wide-ranging conversation with Citigroup Chairman John Gerspach published on Friday, Karp emphasized that the nation winning the AI race will shape the future for generations.
Responding to Gerspach's observation that the AI battlefield is strictly between the US and China, Karp noted that Israel remains the sole exception. Regarding Europe, Karp remarked that assistance is impossible for those rejecting it, leaving the primary contest strictly between the US and China while noting a six-month American lead.
Karp highlighted that the complete AI stack—including computing power, integration, applications, and required innovation—exists exclusively in the US and China. He stressed that other regions produce derivative solutions unable to truly compete, pointing out that American strength lies in creativity while Chinese strength relies on scale.
