Ondas and Palantir Launch Regna AI for Tactical Defense Solutions
Ondas and Palantir have launched Regna AI to develop specialized tactical artificial intelligence solutions for defense agencies, leveraging Israeli engineering and Palantir's AIP.
Defense technology company Ondas and American software giant Palantir announced the establishment of a new joint venture named Regna AI. The newly formed company will develop and deploy specialized artificial intelligence solutions for governments, defense agencies, and organizations operating in sensitive environments. Wholly owned by Ondas, Regna AI will leverage Palantir's advanced technological infrastructure to train and operate its machine learning models. Although headquartered in the United States, the venture will heavily rely on Ondas' existing workforce of approximately 1,000 employees in Israel.
Operational AI Independent of Constant Cloud Connectivity
Regna AI will focus on creating custom artificial intelligence models tailored for specific tactical missions. Unlike general-purpose models reliant on external cloud services, these systems are engineered to operate within customer-controlled computing environments, including deployed military hardware in the field. This capability ensures that governments and security forces maintain absolute control over sensitive data, infrastructure, and model deployment. Furthermore, the systems are designed to function reliably under limited or disrupted communication conditions, a critical requirement in modern combat scenarios.
Strategic Leadership and Future Outlook
Ondas will provide the initial capital financing for the new entity, while Palantir supplies its cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP). Engineering teams from both corporations will collaborate closely to adapt the models for diverse defense clients. Ondas is slated to act as Regna AI's inaugural customer, with subsequent expansion planned targeting allied governments, defense contractors, and critical infrastructure operators worldwide.
"No government should base its artificial intelligence strategy on models or data infrastructures outside of its direct control," stated Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas.
