October 7 Victims Urge Opposition Leaders to Form New Government
Over 700 survivors and families of October 7 victims have urged opposition leaders to form a new government and reject alliances with members of the previous administration.

Following Avigdor Lieberman's announcement that Yisrael Beytenu will recommend Gadi Eisenkot for prime minister, 710 survivors and families of victims from the October 7 tragedy have issued a public letter to the head of the Yashar! party and other opposition leaders.
"Gadi, you have a mandate. Leaders of the change bloc, do not legitimize those responsible for the massacre, swear in the Knesset, and establish a government of change," the signatories wrote. In the letter, the victims emphasized the heavy personal price they paid and demanded that opposition leaders refrain from partnering with anyone who served in the October 7 government.
"The election results are clear: there is a definitive majority that lacks confidence in the October 7 government," the letter states. The signatories warned that cooperating with members of the previous administration would constitute a "slap in the face" and deepen the trauma they endure daily.
The letter calls for the immediate establishment of a state commission of inquiry, the replacement of the current leadership, and a return to foundational values such as mutual responsibility and the sanctity of human life. Among the 710 signatories are notable survivors such as Arbel Yehud, Margalit Moses, and Luis Har, alongside numerous bereaved families and former hostages.
