The October Council opened commemoration events for the October 7 massacre on Saturday evening with an exhibition titled "The Space Left Behind" at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation in Jaffa. As part of the opening, the organization released a harrowing audio recording from captivity of Noa Marciano.

"My name is Noa Marciano, my father's name is Avi Marciano, and my mother's name is Adi Marciano," the recording begins. Marciano states her ID number and location in Gaza, pleading for the airstrikes to stop as she and other hostages face imminent danger.

Father Demands State Inquiry

"My daughter Noa was abandoned in captivity, she was hit by an air force bombing," her father Avi Marciano said during the event. "She was abandoned when she was an observer, and she and her friends knew what was going to happen and no one listened to them."

"Soon we are going to elections and for me the most important thing in these elections is a state commission of inquiry - and once again Noa's honor is at stake," her father stated.

Exhibition Highlights Personal Lives

The exhibition tells the stories of the victims through the personal items they left behind, focusing on their lives rather than just their deaths. Key installations include 44 ceramic stars commemorating murdered children, a sticker serenade featuring memorial phrases in the families' voices, and the original armchair of the late Itzik Elgarat from Nir Oz.

The October Council announced that additional documents, testimonies, and findings will be published in the coming days as part of their ongoing campaign demanding a full state commission of inquiry.
