Nir "Shoku" Cohen, Senior Vice President at Reshet 13, is stepping down after just over two years in the role. Cohen, one of Israel's most prominent news editors who previously shaped Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth, announced his departure from the network.
Initially brought into News 13 by former CEO Emiliano Kalmezuk during a turbulent period, Cohen later served as the network's VP of Digital and Current Affairs. During his tenure, he revamped the 13+ app, launched successful digital brands like "Habocheshet," and stabilized the current affairs division amid ongoing management shifts.
His departure comes as a significant blow to the network's new leadership under Asaf Rappaport and Idan Alrom, leaving a major leadership gap as Reshet 13 navigates its next strategic phase.
