A calm and pampering vacation in the Far East took a turn on Nicole Raidman's Instagram account. It all started when Raidman shared with her millions of followers a series of unusual photos under the warning: "Hard-to-watch images".

The photos showed crabs, seafood, and local street food stalls in an unconventional look that caused some of the followers to cringe, until she calmed them down with a picture of a beautifully designed and high-quality sushi platter alongside the caption: "Okay, there is hope".

Between tours of the vibrant markets and enjoying every moment, these photos were just a prelude to the real and more important drama that developed in her feed. As you may recall, during her last vacation she received a lot of messages about her weight and appearance, which led her to upload a series of poignant stories that set a boundary for all public intrusiveness:

"Wait. Enough. Enough with the comments about my body. Enough with 'eat something', 'you look sick', 'what an anorexic'. It's not legitimate."

Raidman pointed to the public hypocrisy and double standards regarding discourse on weight, explaining that the attitude towards thinness is met with leniency that would never pass in cases of excess weight:

"For some reason, if someone called a woman a 'cow', everyone would be shocked. But when they call a woman 'anorexic' or comment on her thinness, suddenly it becomes 'concern', 'humor', or 'freedom of speech'."
