Mordechai Aviv Construction Industries is facing a leadership transition as CEO Tsalia Amor-Rosenblum has announced her resignation to the board of directors. The company has proposed appointing active chairwoman Ruth Ralbag as interim CEO until a permanent chief executive is appointed or until December 31, 2027, whichever comes first.

According to the regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchange, the appointment is subject to approval by the general shareholders' meeting, which has been convened for December 3, 2026. Until the approval is finalized, Amor-Rosenblum will continue to serve as CEO to ensure a smooth transition.

Ralbag has served as active chairwoman since December 1, 2025. The board noted that given her deep familiarity with the company's operations and extensive managerial experience, her interim appointment is designed to maintain managerial continuity. Under the proposal, Ralbag will simultaneously retain her position as chairwoman while serving as interim CEO.

Alongside the proposed appointment, the company seeks to update Ralbag's compensation terms. She currently receives monthly management fees of 40,000 shekels plus VAT for a 40% part-time position. If shareholders approve the changes, her position will increase to 80%, and her monthly management fees will double to 80,000 shekels plus VAT. All other terms of engagement will remain unchanged.

The compensation committee and board of directors have approved the proposal, which now awaits final shareholder authorization. The company stated that the revised compensation package reflects Ralbag's expanded responsibilities, qualifications, and the operational needs of the firm. Controlled principally by Mordechai Aviv and members of his family, the real estate and construction company is navigating this transition alongside its recent expansion into urban renewal projects.
