Mickey Federman's Dan Hotels Expands Globally with Hilton Partnership in India
Mickey Federman's Dan Hotels expands globally as The Den Bengaluru joins Hilton's luxury LXR collection, marking the brand's debut in India alongside steady revenue growth.
Israeli hotel network Dan Hotels, co-owned by billionaire Mickey Federman with an estimated fortune of $18 billion, has achieved a major international milestone. Its Bengaluru property, The Den Bengaluru, has officially joined the prestigious LXR Hotels & Resorts collection under the Hilton global portfolio. This strategic move marks LXR's debut in the Indian market, one of the world's fastest-growing economies.
A Luxury Oasis in India
Situated in the tech and heritage hub of Whitefield, Bengaluru, the 226-room hotel features comprehensive wellness facilities, five dining venues, and approximately 1,951 square meters of event space. Alongside its integration into the luxury network, the hotel is launching two immersive guest programs: The Pause Program, offering customized sleep kits and wellness menus, and Whitefield Unscripted, which encourages local exploration through historic bungalow tours and farm-to-table experiences.
"The opening of The Den Bengaluru marks an exciting new chapter for LXR, bringing our global perspective to India while celebrating the unique character of Bengaluru and Whitefield," said Candice D'Cruz, vice president of luxury brands at Hilton Asia Pacific.
Financial Recovery Amid Global Expansion
This international expansion comes as Dan Hotels navigates a recovery phase in Israel following a challenging start to the year due to security conditions and Operation Roaring Lion, which resulted in a first-quarter loss of approximately 60.5 million NIS. However, the group significantly narrowed its losses in the second quarter (April-June) to just 2.3 million NIS, compared to a net profit of 5.4 million NIS in the same period last year.
Revenue growth remained robust, driven by strategic overseas investments such as the acquisition of the Nomo SoHo hotel in New York earlier this year. Total second-quarter revenue surged by 10.8% to 418.9 million NIS, up from 378.2 million NIS in Q2 2025, with hotel operations alone jumping 13.3% to 318.4 million NIS.
