Metaylim Hotels Leaves Gesher HaZiv for a 30 Million NIS Project in Achziv
Metaylim Hotels leaves Gesher HaZiv after 20 years and invests 30 million NIS to build a new 76-room hotel in Achziv, scheduled to open by the end of 2027.
Metaylim Hotels chain is ending its operations at the Gesher HaZiv Hotel after nearly 20 years, shifting its strategic focus to a new project in Achziv with an investment of approximately 30 million NIS.
After managing the Gesher HaZiv Hotel for two decades, the Metaylim chain decided not to renew its lease agreement with Kibbutz Gesher HaZiv. Operations at the hotel will officially conclude at the end of October. With the kibbutz's consent, management of the complex will be handed over to the "Moshe's Beach" group.
Strategic Investment in Achziv
The departure from Gesher HaZiv is part of a broader strategic move by the chain to redirect its investments toward a new hotel in Achziv. The chain will invest approximately 30 million NIS to renovate and establish a new 76-room hotel, scheduled to open by the end of 2027.
"After almost 20 years in Gesher HaZiv, this is undoubtedly a significant farewell for us. This was a home for the chain for many years, and we thank Kibbutz Gesher HaZiv for the cooperation," said Bat Chen, CEO and founder of Metaylim Hotels.
Looking Forward to 2027
"At the same time, we are looking forward and very excited about the new chapter opening for us in Achziv. The decision to invest around 30 million NIS in the new hotel is a strong vote of confidence in the region and its tourism potential," added Bat Chen. The new hotel will strengthen the chain's presence in the Western Galilee, maintaining its signature concept linking accommodation, nature, and hiking.
