Meta Unveils Muse AI, 5K VR Glasses, and New Ray-Ban Wearables at Connect 2026
Meta unveiled its Muse AI agent, 100-gram 5K VR glasses, and third-gen Ray-Ban smart glasses at Meta Connect 2026, merging advanced hardware with everyday wearable tech.

Meta has unveiled its next generation of wearable computing and artificial intelligence at the Meta Connect 2026 conference. CEO Mark Zuckerberg presented an ambitious vision centered around the company's new AI agent, Muse. This advanced assistant integrates real-time video capabilities and will be embedded directly into Meta's AI glasses to recognize topics from daily conversations, automatically adding items to shopping lists or scheduling calendar appointments without needing a smartphone.
The Breakthrough Meta VR Glasses
The most intriguing announcement was the unveiling of the Meta VR Glasses, weighing just 100 grams and featuring a high-quality 5K display with prestigious IMAX certification. Set for an official launch in spring 2027 at a price of approximately $1,300, the device allows natural navigation via eye tracking and hand gestures without requiring traditional controllers. Users can remain connected to their physical environment while watching movies, sports broadcasts, or managing a multi-screen virtual workspace.
"We are bridging the gap between physical reality and immersive digital environments, making AI a seamless extension of everyday life," Mark Zuckerberg stated during the keynote.
Expanding Smart Eyewear and Fashion Partnerships
Meta also continues to expand its footprint in smart accessories by launching the third generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, featuring an ultra-slim design, a dedicated AI button, and improved battery life. Alongside them, lightweight audio glasses weighing only 43 grams were introduced, backed by exclusive design collections with international stars such as Kylie Jenner and BLACKPINK member Lisa.

This wave of hardware announcements builds upon Meta's strategic rollout of the Meta One subscription service earlier this month on September 15. Designed to offer a comprehensive ecosystem for private users, creators, and businesses, Meta One bundles access to over 50 advanced tools across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Meta AI, solidifying Zuckerberg's integrated hardware and software ecosystem.
