A deliberate act of sabotage at an Israel Electric Corporation facility caused power disruptions overnight in Meitar and surrounding communities. IEC crews dispatched to inspect the network overloading discovered that the facility's lock had been forced and an unauthorized individual had intentionally shut off one of the disconnectors. The sabotage caused widespread outages in Meitar, Lakiya, Sansana, and Kibbutz Carmei.
IEC repair crews restored the grid to normal operation. The company strongly condemned the vandalism, emphasizing that such dangerous actions threaten human life and disrupt essential services. A formal complaint will be filed with the Israel Police.
