Maya Wertheimer recounts moments of horror during family vacation: 'She was evacuated by ambulance'

The popular social media personality and TV host, Maya Wertheimer, often shares her life on social networks. These days, she is spending time with her family on vacation in Thailand. Today, Sunday, she shared a particularly traumatic moment she experienced during the vacation.

In a story she uploaded to her Instagram page, she shared the stressful incident that occurred in the water right before her eyes and those of her young children. She began by explaining that it is now the season for a rare and very dangerous type of jellyfish. "Two days ago we were at the sea with the children and suddenly a girl was stung near us and she was evacuated by ambulance," Wertheimer said. "That moment was very stressful, and since then I just don't go into the water."

Beyond the trauma itself, Wertheimer was mainly surprised by the management of the event and the attitude of those around: "I saw that many people were staying in the water and were a bit indifferent, and that was strange to me," she wrote, adding that she now prefers the pool.

Wertheimer, who does not want to encounter more events like these, turned to Israeli travelers with a warning: "Without causing hysteria, now is their time. When the sun goes down they come out, and it is better to simply avoid the water during those hours."
