A group of young teenagers aged 12 and 13 broke into the fast-food court at the Azrieli Malha Mall in Jerusalem on Friday, vandalizing cash registers and stealing money from local businesses, according to merchant testimonies.

Business owners stated they discovered the break-in by chance rather than through mall management. After noticing missing funds, a security guard informed them that a break-in had occurred on Friday evening after closing hours around 6:00 PM. The incident follows recent reports detailing disturbing behavior by youths at the same location, including spitting, fighting, and verbal abuse, which left merchants feeling vulnerable and lacking adequate security.

"The mall was already closed on Friday evening when four boys, around 12 or 13 years old, broke into the food court and emptied the cash registers of several shops," one merchant told local media. Business owners complained that neither the mall management nor the police notified them in real-time about the security breach, leaving them unaware that they needed to inspect their premises and surveillance footage.

Although merchants filed a police report, they expressed frustration over the handling of the case, claiming authorities failed to collect fingerprints or request security camera recordings. Mall management has not yet provided a response to the incident.
