Ukraine Strikes Russian 'Progress' Space Center

Major damage was caused to the 'Progress' plant in Samara following a Ukrainian attack. Reports indicate that large production halls were hit at the facility, where 'Soyuz-2' rockets used for satellite launches are built.

Videos from the site show flames engulfing the central production hall after at least two Ukrainian-made 'Flamingo' cruise missiles struck the facility. Russian sources claimed five missiles were launched and that A-50 early warning aircraft were scrambled in response.

Military analysts suggest that such a significant hit on a sensitive facility could disable the production of Russian space rockets for over a year. This would hinder the deployment of a Russian satellite internet system intended to replace 'Starlink', which billionaire Elon Musk has blocked for Russian use, causing severe communication issues for the army.

Strike on the 'Russian Amazon'

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces conducted a large-scale drone attack across the Moscow region. According to Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov, a warehouse belonging to the major online retailer Wildberries in the village of Koledino was hit.

The monitoring channel Exilenova Plus published footage showing a massive fire that destroyed the company's largest logistics hub. Additionally, the 'Severnoye Domodedovo' production and logistics complex caught fire during the attack.

Governor Vorobyov stated that air defense forces intercepted 187 UAVs over Podolsk, Stupino, Odintsovo, Naro-Fominsk, Ramenskoye, Chekhov, Kolomna, Kashira, and Yegoryevsk. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin claimed that 201 drones were intercepted, alleging that a total of 600 unmanned aerial vehicles were directed toward the region. One person was reported killed in the attacks.
