The Central District Court in Lod has unanimously convicted Ahmad Said, a registered nurse and shift supervisor at a hospital, of rape and indecent assault. According to the verdict, the defendant used his authority during a night shift in December 2024 to lure a nursing student and mother of three, who was new to the hospital, into the on-call doctor's room under the pretext of retrieving medical equipment.

The court rejected Said's claims that the sexual encounter was consensual. The victim testified that the defendant had initially initiated an uncomfortable conversation about his marital life. Trusting him due to his senior position, she accompanied him as requested. Once inside the room, Said locked the door, initiated unwanted sexual contact, and ignored her explicit pleas to stop. Following the assault, the victim experienced severe trauma, which she reported to her psychologist three days later before filing a police complaint.

Judges Hagi Tarsi, Ido Druian-Gamaliel, and Ayala Oren dismissed the defense's arguments that the victim's subsequent return to work and her demeanor indicated consent. The panel emphasized that the victim experienced a physiological freeze response due to past trauma and ruled that the defendant displayed complete indifference to her lack of consent.
