Liri Albag to Share Story of Survival After 477 Days in Hamas Captivity
Liri Albag, freed from Hamas captivity in January 2025 after 477 days, will share her survival story with her father Eli at a special event in Petah Tikva.
Marking the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks, Liri Albag, who was kidnapped to Gaza and released in January 2025, is sharing her story of survival. She will detail the horrifying moments of her abduction, 477 days in Hamas captivity, and her ongoing rehabilitation in Israel.
The special evening, titled "Learning to Breathe Again," will be held alongside her father, Eli Albag, who campaigned tirelessly for her release. Eli will also share his perspective on the harrowing ordeal during the event.
The event takes place on Monday, October 12, at 8:00 PM at HOT CINEMA in the Ofer Grand Mall in Petah Tikva, with tickets priced at 65 shekels. Mall CEO Naomi Simantov noted that the evening offers a unique opportunity to listen to an extraordinary personal story of returning from the abyss to life.
Albag was abducted from the Nahal Oz IDF outpost on October 7, 2023, shortly after arriving as an observation soldier. She was freed on January 25, 2025, after 477 days in captivity, alongside Naama Levy, Karina Ariev, and Daniella Gilboa.
