Likud Reserves Knesset List Spot for October 7 Hero's Mother Talik Guili
The Likud party has reserved a spot on its Knesset election list for Talik Guili, mother of fallen October 7 hero Ran Guili, ahead of tonight's official submission deadline.
The Likud party continues to finalize its list of reserved spots for the upcoming Knesset elections, announcing on Tuesday morning the reservation of a spot for Talik Guili, the mother of the late Yamas Chief Sergeant Major Ran Guili and a national torch lighter.
Her son, Ran Guili, went out to fight on the morning of October 7 despite being injured, saved the lives of many citizens, and fell in battle. His body, which was abducted to the Gaza Strip, was returned to Israel during the IDF and security forces' "Brave Heart" operation.
In an official statement, the Likud party praised Guili's efforts to commemorate her son and share his story of heroism, noting that she and her family demonstrated "extraordinary strength, deep faith, and unbroken determination even in the most difficult moments." The party described her as "a symbol of strength, dedication, and commitment to the State of Israel" who turned her personal story into a public mission.
Guili's addition to the list comes shortly after the announcement of a reserved spot for Elisha Medan, a reserve soldier who lit the "Torch of Healing and Rehabilitation" after being critically injured in Beit Hanoun and losing both of his legs. These moves take place in the final hours before the official deadline for submitting party lists to the Knesset tonight at 22:00, with additional reservations expected before the deadline.
