Liberman addresses Channel 12 expose: "50 Nukhba terrorists practiced capturing a town"

Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman addressed the Channel 12 expose regarding an unusual incident in Gaza. According to him, IDF forces identified Nukhba terrorists practicing the capture of a Jewish town, but were instructed not to act. Liberman claimed that the withdrawal of IDF forces to the line of outposts has effectively been completed.

An officer on the ground told Channel 12:

"We wanted to attack, but we were not authorized. We feel our hands are tied in the face of terrorists who are already planning the next massacre."

Liberman, speaking on the "Main Edition" last night (Tuesday), detailed the incident that occurred the day before yesterday:

"The night before last, IDF forces identified a training exercise by about 50 terrorists from the Nukhba force who were practicing a raid and capture of a Jewish town."

IDF commanders on the ground requested to act immediately for a targeted elimination of the terrorists, but the directive from the political echelon was: "You do not touch anyone, you do not even fire a single firecracker." Liberman warned that this is a surrender to terror and a return to the policy of containment that led to October 7.

He claimed to have heard these details during his visit to the Gaza envelope, where he met with security coordinators. He stated that the withdrawal of IDF forces has effectively been completed:

"IDF forces have withdrawn to the line of outposts, and in the entire area between the line of outposts (the purple line) and the yellow concrete blocks (the yellow line), not a single soldier remains."

The IDF noted that they identified unusual activity by terrorists, which raised concerns that they were preparing to cross the yellow line. The army raised alert levels and scrambled forces to the fence, but did not attack in response, as they did not identify a specific target to strike.
