The Eisenkot recording: "Even with 52-58 mandates we will have an overwhelming Zionist majority" | Exclusive

The chairman of the "Yashar!" party is heard in a recording from a closed meeting declaring that he would prefer 63 mandates from Zionist parties, but does not shy away from relying on Ra'am if he does not achieve this. Regarding criticism from the right against him and Yair Golan, he stated: "Netanyahu and his mouthpieces are delegitimizing an excellent military man."

Exclusive to "Ha-Yom": The chairman of "Yashar!", Gadi Eisenkot, addressed last night (Sunday) the establishment of a government with the abstention of Ra'am, and for the first time gave it explicit legitimacy, not ruling it out of hand.

Eisenkot said that "in the worst case" there is a possibility that a government under his leadership could be established with the abstention of Ra'am if he does not achieve 63 mandates with Zionist parties. The remarks were made on the same evening that Ra'am presented the new member of its list: Yoav Segalovitz, who moved to it from "Yesh Atid".
